Nathan Mitchum, DMD PLLC
Dr. Mitchum was born and raised in nearby Silk Hope, NC, and is a third-generation dentist in his family. As a result, he has been interested in dentistry from a young age and is thrilled for the opportunity to serve the Graham, NC community. He attended North Carolina State University for both his Bachelor’s Degree in Human Biology and Master’s Degree in Human Physiology and remains a rabid fan of his beloved Wolfpack. Dr. Mitchum then attended East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine where he served as class Vice President and was involved in numerous charitable events including Missions of Mercy, The North Carolina Baptist Dental Bus, and the Special Smiles event with the North Carolina Special Olympics.
Dr. Mitchum is passionate about numerous aspects of dentistry but has a special interest in smile restoration, oral surgery, and special needs dentistry. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with the love of his life, Sarah, and their adorable dachshund puppy Leroy. He enjoys sports, hunting, fishing, and anything outdoors. Dr. Mitchum prides himself on his doctor-patient relationships and keeps patient comfort at the top of his priority list at all times. Patients can rest assured that every injection will be virtually painless.
Dawn
Office Manager
Dawn has been a dedicated employee at Mitchum Dental for 25 years and resides in Elon, NC. Recently, she and her husband, Brian, along with their daughter, Taylor, welcomed a new rescue dog named Smokie into their family. Outside of her professional commitments, Dawn volunteers with the Mission team at her church’s monthly food pantry. She also has a passion for traveling and enjoys discovering new destinations in North Carolina and the surrounding states.
Nita
Dental Assistant
Nita has been a valued member of Mitchum Dental for 21 years, bringing a total of 36 years of experience to her role. She resides in Haw River, NC, and earned her dental assisting credentials from UNC. Married for 30 years, Nita has two children, two grandsons, two dogs, two sphynx cats, and a ball python. In her free time, she enjoys working out and target shooting.
Megan
Dental Hygienist
Megan has dedicated 17 years to Mitchum Dental, bringing a total of 19 years of experience to her role. She resides in Gibsonville, NC with her husband and three children.
Keila
Dental Assistant
Keila has been with Mitchum Dental for less than a year. She loves spending time with her family, especially her young nephew, Mateo. An adventurous spirit, Keila enjoys outdoor activities and swimming.
Madison
Dental Hygienist
Madison joined Mitchum Dental in May 2024 after graduating from the Dental Hygiene program at Guilford Technical Community College.Outside of work, Madison loves spending quality time with her dog, Carson. Whether it’s a day at the beach, a trip to the lake, or lounging by the pool, Madison enjoys making the most of her free time in the great outdoors.
